Ceasefire activities regarding tackling firearms trafficking were successfully presented at the EMPACT Firearms strategic meeting, organized by Europol on June 15. The project was represented by its technical manager, Georgios Th. Papadopoulos from Harokopio University of Athens. Interesting discussions paved the ground for future collaborative activities.
Happy to visit today the headquarters of Polícia de Segurança Pública (PSP) and, in particular, the National Firearms Focal Point (NFFP) in Lisbon, in the context of the FCT project Ceasefire Project. On April 4-5, Ceasefire had its 2nd physical plenary meeting in Poland, at the premises of the Provincial Police Headquarters in Gdansk, which is a partner of the project consortium. Members of Ceasefire exchanged ideas and shared progress on this exciting project about combating firearms trafficking, discussing next actions and planning future work.
