In the context of implementing multiple EC-funded projects, the Department of Informatics and Telematics, Harokopio University of the Harokopio University of Athens (Athens, Greece) offers a full-time vacancy for a post-doctoral researcher in the research field of computer vision (with application in vertical domains such as robotics, remote sensing, AR and security). The position is planned to be funded for up to a 3 years period.
The list of possible subjects of research include, among others, the following topics:
- Foundation models for visual perception and recognition
- Dynamic semantic 3D SLAM
- Semantic environment perception (object detection, object tracking, semantic image segmentation, etc.)
- Human action recognition
- Explainable artificial intelligence
- Augmented reality
- Robust AI
