Platform: Large-scale photorealistic outdoor 3D scene reconstruction using Unity augmented reality and Gaussian splatting technologies.

You can check in the video below a demo of our solution developed for photorealistic outdoor 3D scene reconstruction:

  • Near real-time reconstruction of complex large-scale scenes
  • Processing of (only) aerial-drone RGB video streams
  • Incorporation of Gaussian splatting technologies for up to millimetre spatial resolution accuracy
  • Integration into Unity for AR/ VR visualization in multiple platforms (desktop, headset, mobile)
  • Seamless integration and visualization of AI-generated analytics (e.g. object detection) in real-time
  • Interactive semantic tagging and annotation by human user

The platform has been developed in the context of the European RnD project TRIFFID Project, targeting the delivery of multi-platform autonomous robotic aid for increasing fIrst responders efficiency in post-disaster scenarios.
